Free dental check-ups begin in Begusarai
1,000 Indian towns and cities will benefit as over 23,000 dentists are expected to conduct free dental check-ups as part of Oral Health Month 2010.
Begusarai, September 25, 2010: Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited (“Colgate”), the market leader in oral care, in association with the Indian Dental Association (IDA), has organized free public dental check-ups in Begusarai throughout September-October as part of Oral Health Month 2010.

Local dentist, team of volunteers bring free dentistry to village in Guatemala
When a neighbor told Dr. David Streiff about the Los Romeritios Dental Team, a local team that travels to Guatemala every fall to bring free dentistry to a village called Santa Catarina Mita, Jutiapa, Streiff wanted to get on board. The team is comprised of current and retired professionals who work or have worked as nurse practitioners, dental hygienists, engineers, health specialists, translators, social workers, teachers and dentists.

Second graders in Wisconsin get a reason to smile
According to the Greenbay Press Gazette, second grade students at Suring Elementary School in Wisconsin were recently treated to free dental care services through the Oconto County Seal-A-Smile (SAS) program, which is funded by the state’s Division of Public Health and Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin.

Santa makes early visit to local children
Santa visited about 100 kids at Tanner Head Start Center and Elkton Road Head Start Center on behalf of Sarrell Dental Center, a non-profit dental center that serves children on Medicaid, All Kids and BlueCross BlueShield.
“We always do events like this for Christmas,” said Sarrell Dental Center Marketing Director Bernardo Bachino. “We visit schools and daycares offering free dental education and screenings. We use this as a way to let the community know our services are available.”
