Free dental clinic offers free care

Most people dread going to the dentist, but on Saturday people lined up for hours to receive free dental care from Stonehaven Dental in Lehi. Nearly 200 patients received a free cleaning, filling or extraction as part of Stonehaven’s annual Dentistry From the Heart program. One man, who had recently lost his job and dental insurance, slept out the night before to assure his wife a spot, said dentist Dave Latham. The 11 dentists ended up giving away about $45,000 of dental work, several dental hygiene students helped with cleanings and dozens of volunteers gave food and prizes.

  1. I live in Hudson Fl and I am in need of severe dentistry. Is there an actual list or a program that you can go to to find local dentist who are willing to help low income? As of right now the lowest I have found is $180 for 1 tooth extraction and that does not even cover the nitrous to help you relax. I have several teeth that need repaired and really don’t want to lose them because I have a great smile. Just unable to afford a dentist.
