Free dental clinic treats nearly 1,200
Last weekend’s Eastern Panhandle Mission of Mercy (M.O.M.) free dental clinic at Hedgesville High School served nearly 1200 people, said Toni Leslie. How many patients were seen and what services were received aren’t firm yet, she said.
Leslie and her husband Dr. Tom Leslie, a Berkeley Springs dentist and Martinsburg oral surgeon Dr. Dean Russell and his wife Betty Russell organized the June 26 and June 27 clinic.
“Volunteers were incredible, operations were smooth, disruptions few, and overall it was a very successful project,” Toni Leslie said.
The majority of the patients needed extractions, but cleanings, fillings and a large amount of denture services were also performed, she said.
