June 16th, 2009Program give free dental work for children without dental insurance
A program to provide free dental health services for children in Mower County of Austin, Minnesota who lack dental insurance or other access to care will start this month as part of a year-long emergency program.
“It’ll help to prevent tooth decay and promote good dental health,” public health director Margene Gunderson told the Austin Post-Bulletin.
The program will offer screenings, teeth cleaning and a fluoride application to children under 13 the first and third Tuesday of every month.

Free Dental Mobile clinic brings free dental work to G.I. kids
The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be doing double duty this week during its five-day stay at the Third City Community Clinic.
Nine local dentists are volunteering to staff the mobile clinic, giving it two dentists at a time providing free dental work to local children in need, rather than one. Third City hopes to see 100 patients through the Care Mobile this week.
The mobile dental clinic, which is run by the Ronald McDonald House along with OneWorld Community Health Centers of Omaha, began its stay in Grand Island Monday morning.
