LAURINBURG, N.C. (AP) - A free dental clinic is seeing hundreds of patients at a North Carolina church.
The Laurinburg Exchange reports the 2-day clinic at Stewartsville Baptist Church will likely help more than 400 people by the time it finished Saturday.
Sheila Hunt lost her health care insurance after she was laid off and her current part-time job doesn’t offer it. She says she wouldn’t be able to go to the dentist without the clinic’s help.

Hundreds line up at free dental clinic
BRIGHTON, Colo. - People who can’t afford to see a dentist camped out overnight to receive treatment for free at a special clinic that runs Friday and Saturday, September 11-12 in Brighton.
Jerry Hart is one of hundreds that showed up at the Adams County Fairgrounds to receive free dental care. That’s right free, thanks to the Colorado Dental Association’s third “Colorado Mission of Mercy.” The event provides donated dental treatment and education to Coloradans in desperate need of dental care. Some would-be patients showed up a day early for the chance.

Charlottesville Free Clinic Grand Opening
The Charlottesville Free Clinic is celebrating the opening of its newly renovated and expanded facility.
For 17 years, the free clinic has provided healthcare for the working uninsured, providing care for about 10,000 people in the community. They also have a full-time free dental clinic.

We Care Society conducts free dental camp
Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): In an effort to encourage healthy oral hygiene among children, the We Care Society of Dimapur conducted a free dental camp at the Government Primary School located at Duncan Basti (Ao) on Friday.
Four dental practitioners of Dimapur, Dr. Temjenungsang Pongen, Dr. Yanger Jamir, Dr. Seto D Kera and Dr. Nzanthung Humtsoe, provided their valuable services during the camp, where more than 300 children of the school benefited. The society conducts such camps at regular intervals and today’s was one of them. It is learned that the doctors themselves are active members of the Society.

Mobile dental vans flagged off in Delhi
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Saturday stressed the need for making basic oral care facilities accessible to every individual since oral health is an important and crucial part of one’s overall health and wellness. She was speaking after flagging off mobile dental vans on the occasion of World Oral Health Day.
The mobile dental vans were flagged off as part of Oral Health Month 2009, a nationwide oral health awareness campaign organised by the Indian Dental Association and Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited. As part of the program, free dental check-ups were also conducted for children from Pratham, a community based organisation that promotes education of under-privileged children in 24 States in India.

NSU Hosts Day Of Free Medical, Dental And Vision Screenings.
DAVIE, Fla. — Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host its seventh annual “A Day for Children” health fair on Sunday.
The health fair is a fun-filled day which focuses on free health care for children ages birth to 15 years. It includes screenings for medical, speech, behavior and dental health as well as physical and occupational therapy.
