Free dental care comes to Wimauma school
WIMAUMA – Instead of making the dreaded trip to the dentist, the dentist came to a group of students.
Ruskin-based Suncoast Community Health Centers brought its new dental motor coach to the Redlands Christian Migrant Association Wimauma Academy during the week of Nov. 29 to Dec. 3.
“We’re using this mobile clinic to bring free dental care to underserved and indigent children,” said Kim Herremans, dental health consultant for the Hillsborough County Health Department.

Domestic violence victims receive free dental services
Nova Southeastern University is offering free dental services to victims of domestic violence.
Using a three-year, $850,000 grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration, NSU’s College of Dental Medicine will help provide examinations, preventive services, restorations and some dentures to victims of domestic violence.

Comfort Dental to host Care Day Friday on Dec. 24
Kansas City, MO – Comfort Dental will be hosting Care Day Friday, December 24, 2010. All Comfort Dental offices will provide free dental care to anyone. Comfort Dental has hosted Care Day for the last 27 years. Care Day will be at all Comfort Dental general dentistry offices, there are 4 in the Kansas City area alone.

Chandler Park Dental Care hosts “Smiles From the Heart” February 4th, 2011
Smiles from the Heart was designed to specifically treat people who need urgent dental care. “We will treat as many people as we can on February 4th. Each person will have the choice of receiving a cleaning, filling or extraction. We will see people all day long, as many as we can, all at no cost to them,” says Dr. Jackson.

Free Dental Screening- Going back to grass roots dental care
Dental hygiene students from Southern Oklahoma Technology Center are organizing and helping run a full day of free dental service for children and young adults in need. Spearheaded by Amber McCabe, an OU dental hygiene senior at SOTC. The day of free dental care, to be run by 12 students and one dentist, will provide free service for 75 patients age 20 or younger, who do not have any dental coverage of their own.
