Some “good willing” people try to get as much as they can even from free dental care humanitarian event.

This weekend, Roanoke will host a Free Dental Clinic Day for those who cannot afford to pay for the expensive dental services or low income people who simply cannot afford proper dental insurance.

The event is scheduled for this weekend, for Friday and Saturday, and it will take place at the Roanoke Civic Center. The humanitarian foundation Mission of Mercy has already distributed 900 tickets for free, so that people can have access to the event.

Days after Mission of Mercy have already distributed the free tickets, a posting on e-Bay attracted attention. Someone was offering for sale one ticket for the Free Dental Event in Roanoke for as much as $250, in the bid section.

The special offer “buy it now” section, had the ticket listed for an incredible price of $550. Even earlier, such an offer for tickets for the 2 day special Free Dental event has been found on Craiglist as well, but the posting has been removed.

The seller actually said that he guarantees for the authenticity of the ticket, because he himself stood in line at the Advance Auto in Roanoke on the day the tickets were distributed (March 26th). The listing also had a nicely formulated marketing message by the seller, in which he told potential buyers that if they buy the ticket, they will actually save thousands of $$$ in dental services.

He also said that all the important dental services are included in the price, such as fillings, extractions, X-rays, dental cleaning, and even dental surgery options. Moreover, the seller was also offering free shipping for the ticket, along with estimated delivery time Friday, April the 1st.

Mission of Mercy admits that they already know of such practices, and they try to do the best they can to have these postings removed from the respective websites. This kind of ticketing system has been used for the first time this year.

The event intends to help low income adults to have access to free dental care services, and ticketing seemed to be the best way to organize larger crowds of people who were coming to the annual clinic.
