Free dental care available in Leland

Don’t have money to get your teeth cleaned? Have a medical need you’ve been putting off?
Get those services for free courtesy of the The N.C. Baptist Men, who are hosting a free medical/dental bus from Wednesday to Saturday in Leland.
If you have no medical insurance or are low-income, take advantage of this service. A dentist, hygienist and a medical doctor will be volunteering their services. Potential patients can come get a cleaning or a tooth pulled if it’s an emergency.

Free dental van needs more dentists

COOS BAY – It’s a program that provides free dental service to hundreds of people on the South Coast, who don’t have adequate medical insurance. But, now, it’s in need of more help to meet growing demand.
Sponsored by Oregon Coast Community Action, a mobile dental van visits the area several times throughout the year, serving 10 patients at a time.
It’s a full service clinic that provides x-rays, fillings and extractions.
But, just recently, the waiting list has grown to more than 125 patients, with not enough dentists and trained support staff to help.

Smiles abound at free dental clinic

The Fort Collins dentist was the state chairman for the weekend’s Colorado Mission of Mercy, a free, two-day dental clinic.
“We know we did over $1 million worth of dentistry,” Hanck said Monday. “It’s just phenomenal.”
For two days, 12 hours a day, with 113 dentists each day, people in need received free dental care at The Ranch in Loveland. A total of 153 dentists from the state and region participated at least one day.
