Overland for Smile – Free Dental Services for Children

In his mischievous “Devil’s Dictionary”, US writer Ambrose Bierce defined a dentist as “a prestidigitator who, putting metal into your mouth, pulls coins out of your pocket”.

Considering the unaffordable dentist fees that many of us know very well, supporters of this witty aphorism are not hard to find. Nonetheless, the experience of the “Overland for Smile” project proves that Bierce’s assumption is not always valid.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 5, 2009) − Patrons of the Lexington Legend’s can get more than popcorn and peanuts at this Saturday’s (June 6) game against the Greenville Drive. As part of UK HealthCare Weekend at Applebee’s Park, free oral, head and neck cancer screenings will be provided just outside the main gate at Applebee’s Park from 5 – 7 p.m.
