Dentistry from the Heart – Howard Dental Group’s Gift to All

Pooler, Ga (Friday, November 20, 2009) – On this day starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 4:00 PM, the Howard Dental Group wants to spread goodwill and cheer to the local community with its first annual Dentistry From The Heart event. Dentistry From The Heart is an annual Thanksgiving gift of free dental services to the first 200 people who show up at its Pooler Family Dental practice.

Free dental services for qualified kids

Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry in Gilbert is taking reservations for its second annual Charity Day on Oct. 17.

Children ages 2 to 9 who are not covered by dental insurance and don’t qualify for AHCCCS can receive free dental checks and be scheduled for any necessary follow-up care, also free of charge. The practice, owned by Dr. Timothy Bashara, saw more than 50 children at last year’s event.

Regina dentist providing poor with free dental care

REGINA — A Regina dentist is not stopping at healing smiles, he wants to open hearts as well.

Dr. Tony Romaniuk of Enhance Dental Centre is hosting the latest event for Dentistry from the Heart, a non-profit organization that provides free dental care to those in need.

Dental center may provide free screening for county students

Limestone County schools may help a non-profit group screen students for dental and vision problems in an effort to improve care for students from poor families.

The group’s goal is to provide oral health to the underserved children of Alabama. It covers its costs by serving children, ages 1-20, who are eligible for Medicaid or BlueCross/BlueShield ALL Kids, Alabama’s free and low-cost insurance for kids.

The Whole Tooth: Ontario students get dental care

The Smile Care Ohio team treated about 60 students by the time they packed up Friday afternoon. They’ll return to the school in six months.

With fewer and fewer families receiving dental benefits through work, free and low-cost dental services are increasingly important to fill the gaps in coverage. Smile Care Ohio, a branch of Michigan-based Mobile Dentists, is one solution.
