Foreign Health Tourists Coming to UK Banned for Not Paying Costs

Health tourism in UK has seen a major growth, since foreigners visit the country mainly for getting all kinds of health treatments.

According to new regulations on the line, those foreigners that simply abuse the services offered by the NHS in such a way will be banned from entering the country again.

This ultimate solution has been brought about because NHS has lost £32 million+ to such patients who got treatment, and then fled without paying their bills.

According to the new rules, anybody who has a debt of £1,000 for the treatments they have received in the UK will not be granted access into the country anymore.

It is already a well known fact that any foreigner, who requires emergency treatment in the UK, can get it for free.

However, patients coming from outside the EU have to pay for more complicated types of treatments (such as chemotherapy for example).

The main problem is that many patients do accept these follow up treatments which cost the health institutions a lot of money, and then they simply leave the country without ever making a payment.

It is also being considered the fact that people, who wish to apply for a UK visa, should have obligatory health insurance, and then there will possibly be a much better monitoring of the entire health system.
