Dentist Offers Free Procedures Friday

Each of those people are hoping to get a free appointment for filings, extractions or cleanings from this practice on “Dentistry From The Heart” day.

The practice hopes to treat at least 100 “free” patients. The dental staff guesses they’re seeing at least twice as many patients during the free dentistry day this year than during last year’s event.

Crowds camp overnight in Brighton for free dental care

BRIGHTON — The doors to a free dental clinic in Brighton opened at 5:00 this morning to a throng of anxious people. The Colorado Dental Association provided free clinics in Alamosa in 2007 and in Loveland last year.

At the Loveland Mission of Mercy, nearly 900 volunteers provided 1,411 patients with $1.1 million in donated free dental work, the dental association reported.

Local dentists, specialists work for free

200 Line up for Free Dental Work

Forest, VA - Forest Dental Center in Lynchburg held their second annual Dentistry from the Heart Saturday. It’s the one day of free dental work, where patients can get fillings, cleaning or extractions.

Fourteen doctors from seven different offices traveled to Lynchburg to help out and give back to the community and those in need. About 200 people were serviced, which is more than there were last year.

Students benefit from free dental program

Eight years ago, the clinic, which provides free dental work to people in poverty without access to care, expanded its reach and began going into Milwaukee Public Schools.

River Trail is now one of 30 participating MPS schools, making the school-based oral-health program one of the largest in the state.

Throughout the school year, a team of dental professionals, including a dentist, hygienist and dental assistant, mostly volunteers, visit each school providing screening exams, fluoride treatments, cleanings, dental sealants, oral-health instructions and referrals for additional dental care.

Dentists to provide free dental work Saturday

VESTAL — Dental care may have fallen off the list of priorities in a community hit hard by layoffs and foreclosures.

Lalor Creekside Dental will provide free urgent dental work on Saturday, including cleanings, fillings and tooth extractions.

The family-owned practice expects to serve a minimum of 200 people, said Kimberly Kocak, a dental assistant at Lalor who is coordinating the event.
