Free dental clinic running short on dental care funds

FREDERICK, Md. – A free clinic based in Frederick says it may have to stop providing dental services due to a lack of funds.

A Mission of Mercy official said Wednesday the charity may end its dental program Feb. 1 unless it receives $15,000 in donations.

Mission of Mercy runs dental clinics twice a month in both Frederick and Brunswick.

Free dental services to the community

Loma Linda University School of Dentistry will provide free dental services to the community. Registration will be from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Sunday. A limited number of patients will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Free Dental Services For Kids

DENVER — Each year in February, dentists across the country provide free oral health care services to thousands of low-income children.

It’s called “Give Kids A Smile.”

This year the event will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010. So far, more than 12,000 dentists have signed up to participate.
