Program Provides Free Dental Help

TRAVERSE CITY — Six Traverse City area dentists are giving the needy free dental care.

It’s the twelfth year for the “Doctors With A Heart” program, where people without insurance are given basic dental care free of charge. The dental care is provided on a first come first serve basis, and this year, patients do not need a referral ticket.

Local dentist gives underprivileged kids something to smile about

Wayne – Local dentist, Dr. Laurence Breiterman, will provide one day of free preventative and emergency dental help and, if necessary, make referrals for continuing treatment for children ages 12 and under as part of National Children’s Dental Health Month (CDHM). The one-day program, called Give Kids A Smile (GKAS), will take place on Friday, Feb. 5, and is part of the American Dental Association’s (ADA) annual push to bring attention to the number one childhood disease, tooth decay.

Moses Lake dentist offers dental services for free

MOSES LAKE — Once again, Dr. Craig Harder is making families smile with a free annual dentist visit.

Moses Lake Family Dentistry staff have participated in the national Free Children’s Dentistry Day for 11 years. Harder offers a day of free dental consultation, teeth cleanings, examinations and treatment for any child 18 and under.

Ellsworth offers free trips to dentist’s chair

SARANAC — The tough times have prompted a lot of people to scale back, but dentist Kathleen Ellsworth wants to help keep the area children’s teeth in tip-top shape.

She is offering free dental consultation, exams and x-rays to all uninsured children ages 12 months to 18 years old through the month of February in recognition of Children’s Dental Health Month.

Free dental consultation for children set for February 15

February is National Children’s Dental Health Awareness Month, and in recognition of that, Dr. Scott Leinassar, Dr. Andrea Leinassar and their dental team will provide a day of free dental services for area children at their Smith Valley practice.

Those screenings will be held on Presidents’ Day–Monday, February 15–when Dr. Andrea Leinassar and the practice’s dental team will providing dental screenings, cleanings and oral hygiene education at no charge to children ages 5-12. A free oral hygiene kit and cleaning will also be included at these appointments.

Free dental consultation for toddlers announced today

WINNIPEG – In an effort to battle baby-bottle tooth decay, Manitoba dentists will announce a program today that offers Manitoba children less than three years old their first dental visit for free starting April 1.

During the free check-up, the dentist will try to intercept the onset of the disease and teach parents how to help their kids take care of their teeth, the association said in a news release.

Dental clinic to see kids free next Friday

The VCU Pediatric Dental Clinic will be seeing any child that needs dental services for free from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Feb. 5.

That Friday will be for providing free dental exams, cleanings, X-rays, fillings and extractions, according to a press release.

Give Kids a Smile Day is committed to helping children that may be unable to receive dental care.

This day is dedicated to those children that need dental services and are unable to get them due to the circumstances in their life, including being uninsured or they are unable to find a clinic that takes their insurance, according to the release.

Low-Income Families Get Free Dental Services Friday

OMAHA, Neb. — Dentists are providing free dental care to low-income children Friday at the Douglas County Health Center near 41st Street and Woolworth Avenue.

The dentists will be joined by student volunteers from Vatterott College and will provide cleaning, steel crowns and even root canals.

Glassboro dentist gives kids something to smile about

Glassboro dentist, Dr. Michele Turner-Wood will once again provide one day of free dental service to children ages 3-12 as part of the annual National Children’s Dental Health Month. This one-day program is called Give Kids A Smile (GKAS) Day and will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Turner-Wood Dental office located at 500 Mullica Hill Road in Glassboro.

Children will receive: A free dental services: teeth cleaning, fillings/extractions if necessary and any emergency treatment.
