OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Dental Association’s president says the group’s members will participate in a two-day free dental clinic in downtown Oklahoma City next month.
Association President Tamara Berg said Tuesday that what is dubbed as the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy is expected to attract 2,000 patients, who will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is set for Feb. 4-5 at the Cox Convention Center.
Berg says a similar event last year in Tulsa drew about 1,800 patients. This year’s event is being funded by a $150,000 grant from the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation, which also helped sponsor the 2010 event.
