Salyer offering free dental work Feb. 11
Lorna Salyer, a dentist at Bowling Green Family Dentistry, will offer free dental work to local patients from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 11 as part of the Dentistry From the Heart program.
Dentistry From the Heart is a nonprofit organization that offers free dental work to people who need it. In the past seven years, the organization has contributed more than $1 million in free dentistry and helped more than 5,000 patients across the country.

Dental Care for Pregnant Women and Children Ages 0 to 5
SAN YSIDRO — Through generous funding from the First 5 Commission of San Diego, the San Ysidro Health Center, through the Oral Health Initiative, is providing free dental services for children ages 0 to 5 and pregnant women at its dental clinics in Southeastern San Diego/National City and the South Bay!
Eligibility includes uninsured children 0 through 5 (less than 6 years old) who have not yet entered kindergarten (children on Share of Cost Medi-Cal may be covered while meeting their share of cost). In addition, the free dental service programs cover uninsured pregnant women through 90 days after childbirth as well as pregnant women on Denti-Cal.

Free dental care to be offered for kids in need
OLD BRIDGE — Doctors Cavan Brunsden and Nancy Villa of KIDZDENT, at 2455 Route 516, will participate in the “Give Kids a Smile” program, offering free preventive and emergency dental care for children ages 12 and under.
The one-day “Give Kids a Smile” event will take place on Feb. 5, during National Children’s Dental Health Month, and is part of the American Dental Association’s annual push to bring attention to the No. 1 childhood disease — tooth decay. The program, which is in its eighth year, is hoped to touch the lives of many of New Jersey’s disadvantaged children who need oral health care.
According to KIDZDENT, children who come to the office on Feb. 5 will receive a comprehensive dental examination, oral healthcare instruction, fluoride treatments, radiographs and free dental hygienematerials including toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss. In addition, emergency dental care will be provided where necessary.

Dentists’ Charity: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished
It starts with the good people at North Bridge Dental Care offering a free day of dentistry as part of their “Dentistry with a Heart” program. One hundred forty-four patients received $45,000 worth of free dental care from 12 dentists, with over 50 other volunteers on hand.

Free dental care to uninsured children
CHICO — Reservations for free dental care to uninsured children ages 1 to 12 years old is being taken.
Part of the American Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile” campaign, the free care program is slated from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 5 in Chico at the dental office of Erik Roos, 274 Cohasset Road, Suite 100.
Free dental services will be provided by local dentists, hygienists, assistants and volunteers.
