Nonprofit provides free dental care for children Dec. 20

This holiday season, the Foundation for Children’s Dental Health, in partnership with Donna Lombardi, will provide free oral evaluation, cleaning and fluoride varnish application to school age children on Monday, Dec. 20 and Dec. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the office at 23752 Newhall Ave, Newhall, CA 91321.

The Foundation for Children’s Dental Health is a nonprofit organization dedicated to provide dental and preventative care to the school children in the Santa Clarita Valley who would not otherwise have dental services available to them.

Comfort Dental offers FREE Dental Care Dec. 24

Need dental care but can’t afford it? Comfort Dental offices statewide will host their 27th FREE Care Day Friday, December 24, 2010. This means all Comfort Dental offices will provide FREE dental care to anyone on December 24th from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Sawyer, Sunrise students get free dental exams, sealants

Ministry Door County Dental Clinic took its mobile Door County Seal-A-Smile clinic to Sawyer and Sunrise schools this fall to give students free dental exams and sealants.

Door County Seal-A-Smile is funded as part of the Wisconsin Seal-A-Smile Program through the Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin. The program allows children at qualifying schools to have a free exam by a dentist to see if they need of sealants or further dental treatment.

Free dental-health day for children

The Clark County Dental Society, Clark College and other agencies and charitable oprganizations are offering a free dental clinic to youngsters up to age 19 on Saturday, Feb. 5, at Clark College. This opportunity is for low-income families and those with no dental insurance. It is important to schedule an appointment in advance.

Dental day the perfect gift

WENATCHEE — A throbbing toothache wouldn’t rank high on anyone’s Christmas list. But getting rid of a nagging toothache? That might just be a gift that could make the holidays brighter.

Local dentists are hoping the gifts they gave out Friday will help more than 225 people avoid a painful holiday this year. Twenty-two dentists and dozens of dental technicians, hygienists and dental office employees pooled their time and resources Friday at three dental offices for their third annual Painfree Christmas Dental Day.
