When a company offers dental perks to its employees or associates it minimizes the amount of sick time employees use because it helps to improve the oral health of the employees.

Dental perks also offer a major boost to employee morale, which, in turn, reduces the amount of turn over a company might otherwise experience.

Statistics reveal that over 65 percent of businesses surveyed hold a belief that dental perks boost employee morale and that companies surveyed strongly believe that sick time is minimized when dental perks are supplied.

Many companies are legitimately concerned for their staff members and their oral health. Providing dental benefits is one way to ensure that employees get adequate dental care.

In addition, there are a lot of companies that understand how difficult it is to afford adequate coverage for one’s dental needs.

More than seventy percent of companies surveyed illustrate some concern that employees might have problems paying for dental insurance in order to ensure great oral health for a lifetime.

There are some paradoxical figures that have been found in recent research however. Even though companies offer dental coverage to employees, at least ten percent of companies do not want their employees taking time off of work to get their dental needs addressed.

This ten percent figure is a six percent increase from the year 2008 where only four percent of all companies discouraged employees from taking time off of work to see the dentist.

Companies providing dental coverage have witnessed more than a forty percent reduction in the amount of time taken from the job to deal with oral health issues, and just fewer than forty percent of businesses survey has found it far easier to manage the amount of time that employees use to take care of dental appointments.
