HCC hopes to bring brighter smiles, dental health
WELDON — Those in need of dental care but unable to pay for it can look forward to opening wide and saying thank you when NC MOM rolls into Halifax Community College in February.

The HCC Board of Trustees voted Tuesday meeting to allow the college to be a site for the North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NC MOM) dental clinic.
The NC MOM is a portable free dental program that provides free dental services to adults in financial need with few or no other options through state several times a year.

Traveling Clinic Provides Free Dental Services
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A traveling dental clinic is in Kansas City providing free dental services to children in need.

YRC Trucking in Overland Park provides the trucks for the mobile clinics that travel the country.
Close to 100 children were selected by local charities to receive the free dental work over the next two days.

Local dental professionals give back to the community
Budlong and three of her employees traveled to Newton Speedway in Newton this past weekend to donate two days of their time to Iowa Mission of Mercy, a statewide free dental clinic.
Iowa Mission of Mercy was held in Waterloo for the first time last year. This year, with the help of over 1,200 dental professionals and volunteers, the second event was able to reach over 1,500 people, providing them with free oral health services totaling over $800,000.
