A free dental clinic just got 100,000 reasons to keep on helping people in Green Country.
Neighbor for Neighbor helps adults and children with everything from free teeth cleanings, to cavities and dentures.
Cheryl Brewer sought dental help there and says it changed her life.
“When your teeth are messed up people treat you like a second class citizen. They don’t even treat you the same, and what it does to your self esteem, your self worth, it is embarrassing,” said Brewer.
The $100,000 donation from Delta Dental is part of $1.5-million the non profit plans to donate this year.
Leaders say they need people in the dental industry to volunteer their services as well.
“Delta Dental can throw money at this problem all day long, but unless dentists are willing to volunteer their time and put their hands to work, then no dentistry actually gets performed,” said John Gladden, President and CEO of Delta Dental.
