Portland dentist offers free dental services this week, guaranteed

PORTLAND, Ore. — A Portland dentist is hosting a free dental clinic this week for residents of SW Washington or anyone in Oregon.

Dr. Floyd Kasch of Sleep Dentistry in Portland guarantees that the first 60 patients who show up on Friday, Feb. 12 will receive free dental services: cleanings, fillings or extractions.

MB dentist to offer free children’s dental clinics

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach dental center will be offering free dental screenings in honor of “Healthy Smile, Happy Child Day” on Feb. 10.

The free dental services will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Small Smiles Dental Centers of Myrtle Beach, located at 1317 N. Kings Hwy. Event coordinators say the clinic is in part to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy smile during Children’s Dental Health Month in February.

U volunteers Give Kids a Smile

The family was one of many gathered at the University of Minnesota on Saturday to receive free dental services from about 250 dental students, faculty and staff as part of Give Kids a Smile Day, a nationwide event sponsored by the American Dental Association. All told, 140 children received care — up from 107 last year — some of whom had never been to a dentist before.

Free Dental Services For Local Children

FAIRBORN, Ohio — Local dentists teamed up to give every child a smile that they can be proud of.

They are providing free cleanings, fillings and other basic dental services to hundreds of children around the Miami Valley.

The dentists said there are two main reasons why some children don’t get dental care: their parents can’t afford dental bills and their children are afraid to go.

Smile!: Dentist visits ECISD kids

-The waiting room in Dr. Joel Edwards’ pediatric dental office was packed as parents waited for their children’s turn to get a free dental exam. On Friday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Edwards saw as many patients as he could for free.

There was a line 20 people deep when the doors opened at 8 a.m. By 10 a.m., Edwards said there were already more people in the waiting room than he had expected to see all day. This year, Edwards decided he wanted to start giving back to the community by taking part in the American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile day.

Local Dentists Join Hands to “Give Kids A Smile”

Smile Clinic Offering Free Dental Services

The Smile Clinic was back on the island as of last week at the Holy Cross Anglican School. Volunteer dentists from abroad continue arriving on the island on a regular basis to offer free dental clinics to the children of San Pedro. This week they continue providing their services at the Holy Cross Anglican School, but also at the San Pedro Poly Clinic. The services are free for children ages four to twelve. AURORA, Colo. — It was a day of big smiles for more than 125 young dental patients who gathered Friday at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine for free dental care. Thirty dentists and dental hygienists, both from the School of Dental Medicine and private practice, gave of their time and expertise as part of the 2010 Give Kids A Smile event.

Free Dental Clinic Could Draw Hundreds

A charity said that a free dental clinic could attract so many people that crowds could start to line up the night before to get care.

The program Missions of Mercy will host a free dental services clinic for adults on March 12 and March 13. It will be at the National Guard Armory at 801 Stadium Drive in Durham.

Dental students ‘give kids a smile’

Free clinic for low-income children could suffer if budget is cut. About 150 children received free dental care on Feb. 6 at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine through a clinic targeted to assist low-income families.

Staffed by local professionals and more than 150 UNLV dental students and faculty, the eighth annual Give Kids a Smile clinic provided comprehensive care for families in need. More than $200,000 in clinical care has already been donated through previous events.

HAMPTON — Throughout February, Seacoast area residents who lack dental insurance or regular access to dental care will have the opportunity to get free care — by contacting participating Dentistry With A Heart providers.

Hundreds of kids are bring big smiles to school thanks to a Grand Traverse County organization. For the third year, the Traverse Health Clinic and Coalition is visiting schools in the five County region with its “Give Kids a Smile” program.
