When dentists want to promote their dental practice, there is no better way to do it than adopt a few good dental marketing strategies.
The implementation of truly smart dental marketing strategies is perhaps now more important than ever, since crisis has been sweeping all around the world, and several dental practices have been hit hard by this recession.
There has been a survey ran quite recently by the Wealthy Dentist, which asked dentists how they regard these dental marketing practices/strategies. Here are some of the results of the respective survey:
- 40% consider it an extremely helpful tool in helping them promoting their services/dental practice
- 25% do not like dental marketing strategies, but they strongly believe it is unfortunately a “necessary evil”
- 25% wish they could have the means to take advantage in full of all the important marketing strategies
- 10% believe that a truly good dentist does not need advertising
One Nevada dentist, when asked about how he regards dental marketing in general, said that while you run a dental practice it is quite difficult to market effectively at the same time.
Time is too short to focus on dental marketing, on running your business and keeping contact with your patients. On the other hand, if you hire someone else to run your marketing campaign, that could be quite expensive, especially if you are conducting a small dental office.
Others believe that internal marketing works the best. However, in that case one would need to motivate his workers with some nice bonuses. Interestingly, other dentists noted that the best marketing tactic that you can implement for yourself as a dentist is if you create satisfied patients.
Word of mouth is still as strong as it used to be, even if we live in a digitalized era. According to statistics, around 90% of the patients come through the referrals of these satisfied patients.
There is also a small percentage of dentists who see dental marketing as an image ruining factor, since it is not fair to advertise your dental practice right below ads of chiropractors, restaurants, and so on.
