As part of the Dental Health Month, the Jefferson County Health Department hosted a day of free dental screenings.
The free dental care screenings were offered to children who do not have dental insurance.
The Give Kids a Smile program has been started back in 2003 by the ADA and ever since more and more dental professionals join the program to offer a helping hand to children in need of dental treatments.
This free dental care event has been held on Thursday, February 28 from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
Low-income children between ages of 5 and 16 were eligible to receive the screenings.
The free dental clinic has been held at the Central Health Clinic located at 1400 6th avenue, South-35233.
Dental professionals organize constantly such free dental care events for both children and adults without dental insurance.
You should always research online to see when and where are these free dental care events held, and this way if you or your little do not have proper insurance, you can receive a wide range of dental treatments for free.
