Patients who will qualify with the DDS to receive dental care, will not have to pay anything for the services. However, in case you will need to get braces or dentures for example, where extensive dental laboratory work in involved, you might have to pay a fraction of the total price for the treatment received.

The application procedure steps for getting free dental care

1. You will have to fill in the form, then sign the documents and resend in your application for review

2. Generally, after you have sent in your application, you will be contacted by a specialist, called a referral coordinator. You will have to answer several questions over the phone, and give out additional information required. Also, when the coordinator will call, he will tell you whether or not you actually qualify for the program.

3. The referral coordinator will typically contact a volunteer dentist and hand over the medical/dental information obtained from you.

4. You will be contacted again and then told to contact the volunteer dentist yourself and schedule an appointment. It is important to keep in mind that during this first appointment, you will only get an examination, and final acceptance for the program will be done only after this.

The dentist will draft all the dental treatments that you might need, and then a treatment plan will be worked out and you will find out all the details such as how many times you need to visit the dentist, or if you will have to pay a certain fee for the dental lab work that you must undergo.
