Cosmetic Dentistry Treatment Costs

Cosmetic dentistry is a very special and at the same time very popular branch of dentistry.

However, since most of the procedures in cosmetic dentistry are aimed to “beautify” and correct imperfections in a person’s denture, these treatments do come with a higher cost.

Some of the most popular cosmetic dentistry treatments include procedures such as teeth whitening, dental veneers, braces (mostly the invisible braces), dental implants or gum reshaping.

The cost of cosmetic dentistry procedures varies greatly depending on several factors such as the location of the dentist, the quality of the materials used, the length of the treatment required, and several other such factors.

Teeth Whitening Cost

Typically, the cost for teeth whitening varies between $400 and can exceed $1,000. It is important to mention that quite often, there is needed more than just one single tooth whitening procedure, if you want to achieve a much lighter shade of the teeth.

Dental Veneers Cost

The dental veneers are thin layers of restorative material (generally porcelain veneers) which are applied on the surface of the tooth with a special adhesive.

The cost of dental veneer treatments is generally between $900 and can go as high as $2,200-$2,300. The cost is influenced depending on how many teeth need to be restored with veneers, and on the materials used (porcelain vs. ceramics).

Dental Crowns Cost

Dental crowns cost between $450 and $2,500- and again the type of material used and the length of the treatment required are influencing factors.

Invisible Braces Cost

The invisible braces are extremely popular nowadays, since most of the people do not like to wear the traditional metal braces that ruin the aesthetics of their smile. However, invisible prices do come with a higher price- between $3,500 and $8,000.

Gum Reshaping/Contouring Cost

Gum reshaping (or gum contouring) is a procedure through which the teeth are realigned aesthetically by reshaping the gum line. Depending on how many teeth need to be fixed, the cost varies between $3,000 and $4,000. Generally, for one single tooth you need to pay between $100 and $350.

Dental Bridge and Implants Cost

The cost of dental bridges is between $500 and $900. For dental implants however, you will have to pay much more. In the US, you can expect to pay anything between $1,600 and $3,700 per one single tooth.

However, the prices for dental implants can be extremely high, because there are many other adjacent treatments that might be needed.

I read this blog with interest.
It’s highly offered that you choose the dentist which offers its treatments at an average prices, not the cheapest one.
I’m not sure that dental offices at a higher price offers the best service.
